DRS Spoiler / Wing for GT CARDANO

From an idea of ​​our friend Fulvio Benedetti and Martin Mora, we have created the DRS rear wing for the GT CARDANO. Still in the prototyping phase, but with excellent results on the track.

Great strides have been made in terms of models, but in terms of aerodynamics we were stuck in 2011. We believe this can be a further step forward for this category. Stay tuned! It will be available for the market as soon as possible.

On Saturday (12/06/2021) Martin Mora and I tested the DRS for our cardan shaft.
An idea that came to mind after seeing what it meant to have or not have a wing, especially on the straight.
Alessandro Somigli supported us in this project, creating a prototype in record time that I tested on the track on Saturday.
My concern was that it would remain open even on fast corners, causing me big sealing problems, on the contrary, when you go to steer, the air flow towards the wing decreases and the opening / closing system, immediately closes the mobile wing.
Having it or not having it makes a big difference on the straight in terms of top speed and fuel consumption.
We struggled at the beginning for the adjustment, also because being a prototype it was not possible to understand how it worked and how much pre-loading the wing needed to stay in position. But once we found the solution everything worked great with excellent results.
