Delta Plastik
RC car bodies for all scales since 1979
Our story begins in 1974, from the meeting of two enthusiasts of engines, radio controls and model cars, one of whom is employed in a plastic material processing and thermoforming company. Shortly thereafter the idea of forming a company for the production of bodywork and accessories for model cars began to be born. At that time, plastic (ABS) replaced fiberglass in the production of model cars. In this sector, also in the early 1970s, model car bodies made with a new plastic material (polycarbonate) were arriving from America. In 1976 the first Italian bodywork in polycarbonate was born, a Lotus Formula 1 published by the Florentine magazine "modellistica" in 1977.
In January 1979 with the arrival of a third person (toy representative) born Delta Plastik s.n.c. The company deals exclusively with model making until 1983, the year in which two of the founding members decide for different reasons to take other paths. Since that year, Delta Plastik s.n.c. begins to expand into many other sectors.
